I actually have been thinking same thing play my TV thru whole system I bleieve by using the line in this would be achieved my understanding is anything attached to line in will play thru system

If your tv has analog outputs, then it is possible to send sound to a play1 or any other sonos speaker (In theory of course). Hope this helps.

yes. RCA-in from your cable box to your connect will allow it to be used on any SONOS in the house
