You can follow the instructions on the website: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/153?language=en_US If you get good wifi signal, you should be good. If your wifi is not good you will need a SONOS Boost https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/boost.html
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This device only works when it is physically connected to an amp/receiver. Think of it as another component to you system, like a record player. Now if you have tracks on your phone, the sonos app will let you play them on the connect. Assuming you can connect to the same wifi network at either end of the gym (your phone and the sonos connect) that would be how you control the music from across the gym - with your phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t generally use my iPhone as a source but I have done so. So I know it’s possible but I don’t know how robust it is. I’d suggest getting a NAS drive, putting the music on that and then hooking that and at least one Sonos piece to the wired network. I believe that Sonos then establishes its own mesh network, not dependent on wi-fi. I think they may also do repeaters if the distance is too great. That’s more or less the setup I have and it works very well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can not play songs from your iTunes library direct from your phone. However, if you have a PC also on the network it to has these tracks you can play the music from it.
