“I have a chip amp driving outdoor wired speakers. I want to be able to steam Amazon Prime to those speakers, AND to wireless speakers (Sonos or other) in other rooms inside. What do I need. Would abandon the chip amp if Connect Amp is the best option.”

If you want to play different music in different rooms at the same time you will additional amps for each room. But if you don’t mind playing same music on all speakers then one of these connect amps is all you need. There is a new noe that sonos came out with a few weeks ago. It can do more amps than ithis one. Compare them and see if you need the new ine
