I am running my ConnectAmp without hard wiring (other than cables to my two speakers) and have no problems. It connects wirelessly to a $50 SONOS Bridge unit that sits next to our existing home router in a different room. The Bridge is connected to our router by a short Ethernet cable. Supposedly we can even operate without the Bridge, just connecting to a home wireless router, but I have heard that the Bridge helps maintain a strong wireless connection and is less affected by other wireless activity your router might be doing. I decided that the $50 was good insurance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Will work on Wi Fi
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. I am using it wirelessly. I do not have any other SONOS products......yet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it doesn't need to be hardwired. My setup works fine using WiFi in my upstairs bedroom. My wireless router is downstairs and there is no problem receiving a signal upstairs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Sonos Amp works with a wireless system. Sets up just like the speakers do.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on your WiFi setup. I have an EERO mesh (one main + 3 repeaters). Apparently, it does not play well with SONOS. I have only been able to get it to work by having only one SONOS device connected to the main WiFi router. In my setup, this was not a problem as I have a CONNECT:AMP near my router. If I didn't, I would have purchased a BOOST to connect to the router. Once I connected a SONOS device (and it doesn't matter which device), it has worked great!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it will work on the wireless network via a bridge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Just plug it in and attach your speaker cables. It even has an input for a sub-woofer
