QuestionI have a Sonos speaker that is about 6 years old. I'd like to add another speaker to play on my outdoor deck area. If I buy a new Sonos speaker, can I stream the same music to both speakers so that the music inside is the same as the music inside?

- Answer Yes you can. The caveat is how good is your WiFi? I run a Orbi 970 mesh and have no problem running all 14 of my Sonos devices. I’m probably going to get a couple more Move 2’s because it’s cheaper than hanging patio speakers by a lot!

- Answer 5G-6g has their own benefits, but they are all backwards compatible. The important thing is you have enough coverage and bandwidth. My old mesh network worked, but it only supported 40 devices. My new mesh network supports 250 plus devices.

- Answer It can be used with the auxiliary jack, however it needs to be attached to Wifi just to tell the speaker you'll be using the aux in. It's a stupid system design that needs to be changed, and I've been frustrated by it as long as I've owned it.

- Answer I have a Sonos Five speaker which is working togehter with Sonos 1 speaker. To control both, I'm using latest Sonos app although. You might need to reset you olf hardware and connect it as new device on the app.

- Answer The speaker has a standard power line to plug into a wall outlet. Thankfully, no power brick but it is a powered speaker and required AC power. Regarding use with an AV receiver, my experience with Sonos is that the music stream flows through the network and not through an amp or receiver.
