• It works for. 40+ feet away. I do have an open floor plan though.

• It picks up pretty well. I have mine in the kitchen and have yelled down a 20ft hallway.

• It will depend on your setup and if you have any echo devices in the same area. I've found that the microphones pick up from a o Good distance but not from a back room if this is your only alexa speaker.
