My TV did not play through these speakers, until l added the Sonos Beam. The Beam connects to the TV wirelessly or using the optical cable that is supplied with the Beam when you purchase it. The sound is amazing! Adding two of these Play 1 speakers and the Beam and you have great sounding surround sound. Additionally, the Sonos Beam and Play 1s play music working together when my TV is off... Like sitting in a concert hall! I definitely recommend them all!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t know if you can run directly off your tv however if you have one of the sound bars(I have the beam) that connect to the tv then these connect easily as extra/surround speakers which is amazing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not through this model by itself. If you pair it with a Sonos soundbar it can be used as a surround.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only if you purchase more equipment.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Thanks for the question! You can absolutely get your television audio through these speakers, but you would need a Sonos home theater product (Playbar, Playbase, Beam, or Amp) connected to the television. If you have one of those devices powering the sound from your television, you can then group these speakers with that soundbar to hear your television wherever you want within your WiFi network!
