“We currently have a Playbar, Sub, and are trying to decide which speakers and how many to include for surround sound in the living room. Any suggestions on whether to use Play 1's, 3's, or 5? We have Play 1's, but are moving from a 1BR to a house. Thanx”

I have the 1s in my den for theatre and am happy with them. since you have a sub and bar they do fine

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had same issue, just replaced play 1's with play 3's mounted vertically on speaker stands and what a difference! Powerful loud sound with movies and music and living room is open to kitchen dinning area so it's large and sound is more than strong enough for the space with the play 3's

Please try again later.Why don't you try a couple of 3 'or 5's for the front speakers and try your play 1's for the Rears see if you like that setup if you do then just buy an extra set of play 1's for your bedroom. Normally I would buy the most expensive one I can find but was way happy with the 3's the 5's were really Overkill.
