No. You stream from the phone via the Sonos app, not via Airplay. https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2933/~/playing-music-from-an-iphone%2Fipad%2Fipod-touch?_ga=1.179857380.1345747363.1479349926 Music sources selectable from the app include your device, your music library, internet radio, and over 40 streaming services. You can hack your network to play through Sonos using Airplay: https://medium.com/@stephencwan/hacking-airplay-into-sonos-93a41a1fcfbb#.fqtudrnkf It looks...complicated.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't have an Airplay, but all my apple devices connect via the Sonos app. The app sees all my iTunes music and acts a a bridge to most of the music services out there. You just add the service (i.e. Pandora), provide your log in information and access your music through the Sonos app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you have to buy an airplay receiver for like $30 and plug it into the Aux input of Play 5. Then the audio will be in sync with all the other sonos.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Since AirPlay is a proprietary Apple product it is not, (there is a work around if you buy a Apple Airport express and connect it via 3.5 stereo cable) however Sonos is compatible with AppleMusic and the music stored on your computer even if it is iTunes.
