I would guess it would depend if your receiver is able to “wake” by input devices. I have to manually power on my powered bookshelf speakers (KEF LS50) on every time before being able to listen.

Please try again later.There are two methods to achieve this from the Port, and it all depends on the features of your amp/receiver. 1) Port has a 12v trigger output, so if your amp has a 12v trigger INPUT, then you can hook up a cable, and the Port will turn your amp on and off. Or, if your amp is like mine (NAD C368), you can skip the trigger cable, as the amp can auto-sense an input signal and power up after detecting the input. Either way, you need to look at the User Guide for your amp for one of these features.
