• Sonos S1 App: This app is for older Sonos products that do not support the newer features introduced with the Sonos S2 app. If you have older Sonos products in your system that are only compatible with the Sonos S1 app, you can still control the Sonos Roam using the Sonos S1 app. Sonos S2 App: This app is for newer Sonos products that support the latest features, including high-resolution audio, enhanced security, and more. If your entire Sonos system, including the Sonos Roam, is compatible with the Sonos S2 app, you can control the Roam using this app. Since the Sonos Roam is a newer product, it is compatible with the Sonos S2 app. If you're using the Sonos S2 app to control your Sonos system, you can add the Sonos Roam to your system and control it alongside your other Sonos speakers using the same app.
