- Answer There is no acoustic difference between the Gen 2 and Gen 3 subs. The Gen 3 Sub has updated internal processing and memory power and is designed to take advantage of any new features that come to the Sonos platform.

QuestionWhat is the difference between the Generation 1 and Generation 3 subwoofer?

- Answer Basically updated internals. They updated the memory, processor, and wireless. It is supposed to have less vibration as well. I just got this along with the arc and it is amazing. I love playing things and turning off and on the sub to hear and feel the difference it makes, I can't compare as I didn't have the Gen1. Also this link (https://thedigitaltheater.com/dolby-trailers/) has demos you can use to test out audio systems with the different dolby technologies. Not a detailed answer, but I hope that helps. If anything you can search the webs on your question and probably get more detailed analysis of the two.

QuestionI just purchased a Sonos Beam and it paired seamlessly with my Samsung TV. My Xfinity remote works well, but it doesn’t have any control over my Sonos One two speakers for a surround sound experience. The two “One” speakers only work with my Sonos app.

- Answer Having been through different configurations, my system worked best when I paired them all for surround sound through the Sonos app and connected an optic cable to my playbar from my smart TV. Sonos then prompts you to setup remotes.

- Answer Yes, at least I did and it is amazing. I am really surprised how great this system is. In fact I am thinking of getting the Play One SL's to complete the surround setup. If you already have a Gen 1 sub than I assume you can use that as well. This sub has upgraded internals (processor, memory, and wireless) as well as less vibration, but should work as well.

- Answer Hi, and thank you for your question! The great thing about Sonos is that you can place the Sub where you want to. Ideally in a place where the bass response is equally distributed throughout the space. You can Trueplay Tune your Sonos products with an IOS device which means in the matter of a minute or two the sound will be adjusted custom to your room. As far as placement Sub is designed to stand upright or lay flat. Not kidding, try it out if you don't believe us! :)

- Answer Not sure about the interest part. Open box -I’ve found to be a great deal. I always purchase the extended warranty anyway. So it gives you 4 years warranty. The standard only gives you one.

- Answer You can place it under your bed if you desire to. It doesn’t have to be vertical. It can lie down too. It’s Wi-Fi.

QuestionWhy does my Sonos Sub Gen 3 that I bought only 4 years ago sound like the Bass is really loud and interferes with the sound and cant make out what anyone is saying on the Tv or when watching a movie. Almost sounds like a blown speaker.

QuestionWill thie Gen 3 work with my whole home audio? I currently have 8 zones and am hoping to at minimum have it work with 2 or three of these zones. I will not be using this as a home theatre set up as that is a completely seperate room and seperate system.

- Answer Good news is, I was able to easily connect the sub directly to any of my SONOS AMPS. This did not require me to use any soundbar or any additional configuration other than plug it into the AC outlet and easily wirelessly connected to whatever amp/zone I wanted to. I now own 4 Gen 3 suns. Sub sounds amazin and performs even better than I had hoped for. Thanks SONOS!!!!
