While the sub may be placed flat, the slot cannot be covered, and there needs to be enough room for the heat to dissipate. The sound quality is affected when the slot is covered. The 3.5 inch space seems a bit tight.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Low end frequencies are omnidirectional which means the direction or orientation of the speaker does not significantly affect the sound. However, if the SUB is placed in a too confined space it could affect the dispersion of the sound. Trial and error is always an option.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The SONOS subwoofer will not fit in a 3.5 inch space. It is 6.2 inches tall when laying on its side. The felt feet may make it an 1/8 inch taller. The sound is still excellent when laying on its side.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The original question was intended for the Sound Bar (SB) and not the subwoofer. So... basically the soundbar can be place with a maximum height or a lower height of 3.38 inches. Is there sound loss when the soundbar is placed at 3.38" and does there need to be much clearance above it (we are making a slot)? Thank you
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi! From what I have experienced it doesn’t impact the sound so long as you put the foam feet on the bottom so it doesn’t vibrate on whatever surface it’s placed on. The position of th subwoofers facing inward is what allows the versatility on position and placement
