Sorry for answering a bit late, but if you don't want to buy an extra pair of headphones for gaming you can pick up a headphone mic like the modmic or something similar to that. Either that, or you can buy something like the blue snowball.

Go with proper gaming headsets for your gaming sessions. $70 should get you a decent pair (Razer Kraken for example).
