It sounds like you are missing a digital optical audio cable from the tv to the receiver.

Please try again later.Hey I have a PS4 and have an HDMI run from the receiver to my tv and then a digital optical audio cable running from the TV to the receiver while my PS4 is only connected to the GAME slot in the receiver and it works great. So it seems that you are missing only the optical cable. Hope this helps!
