“This is connected to a Sony XBR65X900E 4K TV and I can't pass a signal when using active 18Gbps HDMI cables. It works fine if I use my old passive 10.2Gbps HDMI cables, but those won't pass 4K and HDR content. Are active HDMI cables a known issue?”

• Active HDMI cables will work fine. Just remember that they are not bidirectional. One end should read "Source", and the other end should say "TV". It should work if properly connected.
