Does roku work with this? I read a review that said no, even after trying different solutions found online. null

Might depend on which roku. Mine is the simple stick, I could not get it to work through the receiver. I ended up just connecting it to the tv, but the TV was able to send audio to the receiver through the optical connection from the tv to the receiver.

Yes, i've used a number of Roku devices, including the Roku Ultra 4K, and they all work very well with the Sony A/V receiver.
