Hi Chris, you may either hook up your Apple TV to this receiver or directly to the TV. AirPlay works like Bluetooth, simply pair your device (iPhone, iPad, iPod or in an iTunes Library on your computer) to the receiver via AirPlay to enjoy audio content. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You could hook it up wirelessly as u are doing with the Sony 4K I have the same tv but I use my ps4 mostly. I would use the fiber optics or the hdmi. I like that I can play music outside and watch tv inside at the same time it's really a 9.1!
