It is definitely heavier than the "kit" lense but not too heavy. I got the lense for travel with my a6000 as well and I am not disappointed. One lense for all shots. It's worth it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is heavier tha 55-200 mm lense ,but the fact I don’t have to change lenses all the time makes the little bit of weight worth it to me . Buy a comfortable padded strap so you can wear it off your shoulder or neck . I have a Sony A6000.
