To my knowledge,no. The soundbar comes with its own remote. If there was a way to operate it using the tv remote you would be able to go to menu/speakers/ and select external, but that option does not exist on the query screen.Of all the amazing things that the remote can do,seems strange that isn't one of them,I think it assumes that if you have a soundbar you have the soundbar remote.
