“I have an SC-TA180 Sony sound bar, as of about a month ago it turn the sound off by itself on the tv. Then I have to use the sound bar remote to turn the volume back on, any suggestions? Happens about every 20 minutes”

I had the same problem with my Sony CT800 and after 2 1/2 hours with Sony support, they concluded it is defective. My thought is that yours is as well.
