Hello, thank you for your question. The sound of the image displayed on the TV screen is output from the system. This unit mainly uses its indicators to display status options. (Refer to page 9): https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4727/47274141M.pdf When you use a USB to playback music with the soundbar, it display the information of the USB device on the TV screen.
