There is a USB port on the TV., so I would not think you would need an adapter.

To connect your slim portable DVD player/writer, which likely only has a USB connection for computer use, directly to your Sony W830K, you would need additional hardware since a USB connection alone won't work for video output to a TV. Here's how you can proceed: 1. Check TV Inputs: The Sony KD32W830K TV has HDMI ports and AV (composite) connection. but HDMI is the most common for modern TVs. 2. Connection Options: HDMI: Since your DVD player only uses USB for data transfer to a computer, it doesn't natively output video through HDMI. However, you can use: HDMI Video Capture Device: This device would connect to your DVD player's USB (or via an external DVD drive enclosure if your player doesn't have a USB output directly) and convert the video signal to HDMI, which can then be plugged into your TV. Such devices are available for purchase online or at electronics stores. They essentially capture the video from the DVD player and output it via HDMI. Note: Ensure that the capture device or adapter you choose supports the video formats and resolutions your DVD player can output. Hope this helps!
