• It will work but the picture will be cropped as this lens is for cameras with crop sensors. You also have to enable crop mode on your a7riii

• Hi Roberto, the lens is fully compatible with the Sony A7R3 but since it was designed for an APSC sensor size camera such as the A6XXX series the angle of view on the A7R3 will be reduced to that of a cropped sensor camera and not a full-frame. If you are looking for full frame lens at 35mm with f/1.8 please refer to this model instead : SEL35F18F
