These and mount them as close to the ceiling as possible. Up firing speakers don't really bounce the sound off the ceiling and are completely pointless. I ended up getting 6 of these. I put 1 above my FL, FR (front towers) then 2 above my rear towers and finally 1 on my right wall and 1 on the left... These little guys actually sound really good setup that way if your receiver can handle it. If not then put 1 above your center channel and 1 in the same spot but behind you. If possible also put 1 on the left and 1 on the right wall.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That depends on several factors: budget, other speakers in your system, amp/receiver, watts, etc. With that said, the Sony does a great job for what they are.
