If I plug my pc into this tv using an hdmi cord and then I run the optical out from the tv to my surround sound receiver, will it pass through the dolby digital signal to my receiver? (Assuming I'm watching a dolby encoded source from my pc).”

• If your receiver has the ability to, just plug the hdmi from the computer into it, and run one to the tv. Otherwise, it's a toss up on that. Usually the sound gets compressed when it runs through the tv
