  • QuestionDoes the 43 in model have a IPS or VA panel?

    Asked by Timothy.

    • Answer It's a VA panel. Sources incorrectly stated that most sizes were IPS, but this is untrue (it may apply to non-Us TV's or something, idk). Mine is definitely a VA, and even rtings confirmed that it's a VA panel (the review is for 55", but in the comments they checked the pixel structure of the 43" and verified that it was VA). I don't get why Sony won't just tell people though. It would be a lot easier than making everyone wait for other reviews and any other brand will tell you that information. I love their products, but it just makes no sense for them to choose not to disclose the panel type to people interested in buying their products.

  • QuestionDoes the 43" have an IPS panel or a VA panal?

    Asked by Paradise48900.

    • Answer With much research and speaking to the top tech guys at ratings companies here is what I found out. X80J models have an IPS panel whereas the X85J models all have a VA panel. VA panels are mainly used for gaming and movies which has a better and higher contrast ratio and black uniformity. Only VA panels can give you those two. In conclusion you can check on Reddit to back up my statement. VA panels are much better than IPS.
