“I am not skilled with contemporary electronics. Will I be able to install this TV, including my Direct TV hookup, and my Roku connection for Netflixs, by myself, or will I need to hire someone to help? In short, is this an easy set up? or not?”

Very easy setup. Roku is just plug in and select the correct input. Since this TV is a smart TV with Android you can also just stream Netflix and many other streaming apps directly through the TV with no Roku or other streaming player needed.

Yes, it is very easy to set up right out of the box. You shouldn't have to hire someone.

Can be setup by yourself. Netflix has an app built in. I use a directv box
