“Everything is "smart" & you can choose which interface to use to access online so I'm curious. Do you prefer to use the Sony interface? I also have a Tivo Bolt which is how I've been accessing Netflix, etc. Is one better than the other?”

I'm uncertain of your third party device's specs but this sony has the new standard wifi spec AC which means you'll get the best connection from your router for running high quality video. The Netflix on this TV is awesome.
