• In order to get the xbox 1s to recognize the full capabilities to this TV Go to Home>settings>video inputs and change the HDMI to enhanced. Once I did this it was fully recognized as a 10 bit HDR panel.

• According to rtings.com, yes, I can't really compare it to an 8 bit because I've never owned one but the colors on this tv are awesome
