• The x800d has better specs for color (10 bit) and a much better processor for viewing (the x1) overall. The 800d is also thinner. However, the 800d is edge lit, while the 700d is backlit, which can give the 700d better black uniformity. Still, the 800d is a much better unit.

• The 800 has HDR, 700 does not and the 800 is really thin whereas the 700 has a bit more bulk to it.

• HiPm, One of their differences is the HDR feature. XBR49X800D models already have the HDR feature while in XBR49X700D, the feature will be enabled once you install the latest firmware.
