Pete, When I set up this TV for my in-laws recently I simply left the settings as they came from the factory for home use. The picture looks fantastic. I did the same thing for a 49" XBR X950H TV I purchased for my home. We watch only streaming services, Netflix and Amazon Prime, and the picture quality is amazing. A person could make more adjustments however, in my opinion, it isn't necessary. It's a Sony.

Hello Pete, You can adjust the picture quality of this TV by selecting different presets under [PICTURE] setting: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/husltn1/v1/en-003/01-03-09_01.html. You can also go to [Picture mode] settings for more advanced settings to customize the picture settings according to your preference: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/husltn1/v1/en-003/01-03-09_03.html.
