QuestionI just want a cd recorder that will record a program while I watch something else, then play back what I recorded. Just like it used to be with VHS players.

- Answer Hello NancyM! The recording capabilities of this unit are limited only to record files from a CD disc to a USB memory device, it will not allow you to have the audio sent from an external source to this unit.~Jeannette

- Answer It is possible to connect his unit to the PC IN stereo audio port of the MHCEC709IP using a Y audio analog cord which will have a mini stereo headphone plug in one side and the other a red and white cable. Keep in mind that since the port is not amplified that sound may be lower than if you connect it to an amplifier.~Jeannette

- Answer No. It is only a player. You'll need to get a single CD player/recorder. Philips used to make one, but I couldn't find it on the Best buy website.
