Google TV is the newest version of Google's smart TV platform, previously known as Android TV. The move to Google TV is simply rebranding and updating, since the underlying Android software is still what makes everything work. It works buy pulling all shows from places like Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus and more and pulls them into one place where you can select shows and movies. The app is available for your android tablet and smart phone . On the Sony TV Google also has a Googhe TV app that when activate will work with the app on your hand held device as a link so you can select shows from your Tablet. Netflix, Disney Plus and Hulu are apps on the TV as well so your shows will automatically play when selected. Also you'll be able to use Google Play movies to rent videos. Hope this helps.
