• Yes. Your geographic location along with the type, quality, location, and orientation of the antenna will determine what channels you can receive and how good they look.

• Yes, I currently have a digital antenna connected to the TV. It will take you though the setup for it on first turn on. Picture quality and metadata of the signal come through very well through my antenna.
