• Hi Kate, for full frame camera like the Sony Alpha a9 we recommend the full frame lens version of the 50mm (model : SEL50F18F). You can still purchase the current model here (SEL50F18) but it is designed for a crop frame camera like the a6000 series. Please note the restrictions on this lens when paired with the a9 (The angle of view will be narrower down to that of APS-C size. Fast Hybrid AF is available with the lens system software Ver.02 or later. In Continuous Shooting Hi mode, the maximum speed of continuous shooting with AF tracking is 15 frames per second.)
