• On a previous Sony mini system I brought a simple splitter that connects to the speaker output that has 4 wire connection for 2 sets of speakers. Exactly like an electrical extension cord that makes a single plug into 2 or 3 outlets.

• No, there are no provisions to add speakers beyond the 2 that come with the system (and their pre-terminated cables are pretty short so you may need to splice additional wire to extend their separation on bookshelves).
