“I have this hooked up to my HDMI Onkyo 4K pass-through receiver. When I start everything up, the TV almost always resets to the internal speakers, and I have to dig through the menus with the very unfriendly controller to switch it back. Is this normal?”

Hi DoctorWhat, Make sure the "Control for HDMI" option in this TV is set to ON. You may also contact onkyo about this specific feature if they have. Thanks, >Joffrey
