Stella I had a Cable tech here to hook up the TV and there are very few transmissions in 4K but soon it will be as common as HD don't know anything about the 1080 thing

HDR content is given much wider dynamic range of luminance than standard video format at the creating process. HDR expands the range of both contrast and color. Bright parts of the image can get brighter, and the colors are expanded to show more bright blues, greens, reds and everything in between. The expansion of the contrast ratio and the color palette offers a more realistic, and natural picture. Oscar.
