Yes, you can use the screen mirroring mode
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe you can connect the XBRxxX850D products to your smartphone using the Screen Mirroring capability/app on the TV. Your smartphone must be Android 4.2 or higher and you want to go into the Networks portion of your Settings where you will find a choice of Screen Mirroring.. The SONY documentation is poor at best so if you have trouble I can't recommend where you should look for help.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I have a Samsung S7 and after downloading the Google Home app from the Play Store I can use it to "cast" from my phone to the TV. It will mirror whatever is on your phone screen as one feature of Home. Only used it once or twice so far but believe you have to make sure the TV is connected to the Internet / home wireless to cast. Meaning, you can't just cast from your phone to the TV all by itself.
