• The ROKU should use an HMDI connection and should have no problems connecting. For surround sound you can either connect your receiver via HDMI or use the optical port.

• Yes. I have my roku connected to hdmi 1 for sling tv. Works great and yes there is an optical output for digital surround sound.

• You don't need Roku since the tv already has links to different websites such as Netflix, Hulo, Amazon, Youtube. There is output connection for surround sound.

• No, the TV does not have ROKU capability but it is a SMART tv that you can download apps. The TV does have a connection for surround sound.
