Yes this tv is DIRECTV ready. I'm a DIRECTV tech and I've installed a lot of this tv.

I do not subsribe to direct tv. There is an option in input selection for Direct TV

Yes, I have Direct TV & it runs smoothly...there is even an app for Direct TV!
