Hi Kevin, Thank you for your question. We recommend to keep the TV upright during transport. Transported flat in a vehicle is prone to vibrations that could potentially crack or damage the TV screen. Most manufacturers intend for the TV to be upright which is why most are packed with supportive Styrofoam corners. If the box of the TV has a "This Side Up" with an upright arrow logo, please follow that together with other precaution logos on the box of the TV. I hope this helps! Regards, Jess
