It has a system that imitates HDR. It basically runs on a par level of HDR compared to other higher end models. If that helps any. You can notice if you look closely, its not as apparent as the high end models. That's basically how it was explained to me when I looked at this model. The picture is definitely way better than a regular 1080p HD model for sure.
