Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Patsy, I'm not the sharpest tack in the box when it comes to electronics, but my first impression is no you don't need HDMI. It has a cable connection (the screw in coax type) that doubles as an external antenna connection. That tells me it is an input to the TV and should work. There are also RCA plugs that could run from a cable box to the TV but you may also need a digital audio cable to get sound. Another option is RCA type plugs in R/G/B configuration. My final thought would be if you don't plan on using HDMI cables, don't bother with a 4K TV. All other connections mentioned are inferior to HDMI. I hope this helps, just keep researching for your needs and the connection quality that will support your TV's resolution ...

You need HDMI cables for about everything correcting to a TV. You will want to have a HDMI for your Blu-ray, your cable box (sometimes your company may provide one) and your receiver. Hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To experience real time 4k ULTRA HD then buy AudioQuest - Sky 8' 4K Ultra HD HDMI Cable (Magnolia line). I bought 2 of them . One for Blu ray player and second one for set top box.
