Hi 1080pviewer, I suggest that you change your username to 4Kviewer as this TV not only handles 1080 content well, it upscales it to near 4k quality. It does not make 1080 decent, it makes it excellent. Thanks, -Mark
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Definitely it not effect anything 1080p at all it will simply make it look better just make sure any 1080p content is not connected to the 4k hdmi port on tv and you'll be fine. It has ports specifically for 1080p content

The detail is amazing. I never fail to appreciate the screen on this TV. We have Spectrum cable (Time Warner.)

It is definately a 5* TV. Still trying to figure some of the “percs” that go with it but I am not tech savvy so it’s taking me a bit of time. I have it connected to a small BOSE sound bar and I am very happy with my purchase.
