“Hi, All of the Sony XBR55X900e TVS in my local Best Buy can't set up the IR Blaster. I does not detect the cable being inserted. This is using TWO different copies of the same IR Blaster Cable. Tried it on TWO of the 55 inch units and one of the 65" TVs”

Make sure you are putting it into the right port. I had the same problem until I looked a little harder and noticed the same size port labeled differently that was the proper port. Easy to use the wrong port. Check again, I bet you'll see the other port. If I was at home I'd tell you exactly where.
