I purchased the Samsung, it was freezing while using the Netflix app on the tv but not on my firestick. I returned that TV for this Sony. I don't have problems using the built in app or my firestick. When I called tech about the Samsung, they said it may be an issue with the TV. If you can still return it, I would and get another otherwise it sounds like you already need service. You can also try disconnecting and reconnecting everything.
