Have you experienced a Movie in an iMax Theatre? The big screens are not straight up and down. The viewing angle on this TV is about 170 degrees. This translates into a good view up to 170 degrees in all four directions. So having the TV on a stand angled back does not impact the viewing performance. It does not need to angle back when mounted on the wall. You should ensure there is enough clearance around the TV so there is adequate ventilation for the internal circuits.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The angle has nothing to do with image quality. It has everything to do with the fact that the built in stand is basically a kickstand and designed to sit at an angle to support the TV. This makes the tv a better fit for lower entertainment systems and viewing from a higher position. My setup is set with the TV high and sitting below and it does not affect the image quality in my opinion because the TV has a wide viewing angle. If you mount it on the wall the stand will be positioned flat against the wallmount.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it is for balance. To make sure the TV doesn’t fall forward at anytime. I personally like it that way. I feel more secure with it in that position. I don’t have to worry about children bumping it and it falling forward.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Stand is built to angle back so not seen from front. Also keeps it from accidently falling on screen. OLED panels are very fragile. Can mount verically on a stand or wall mount. Lien does not diminish picture if just set on a table. Has very wide field of view
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The TV will not be angled when wall mounted.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A Sony sight in the UK says it’s for the optimum viewing angle when the TV is low. I’ve never seen an instance where you’d look down at the TV from a couch. Bottom line, if they really cared about viewing angle so much, they’d make the stand adjustable, and make it a whole lot better while they’re at it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have ours mounted over a fireplace which means it is tilted slightly downward and picture quality is great. I don't think you would have a problem.
