• The sound on the Sony tv is good but I always buy the sound bar to enhance the sound.

• I judge the sound to be "okay." You can follow the dialog on a program, but the audio is thin. I have been using an old sound bar and I just ordered a new one from Best Buy. A Bose 700 is being delivered today.

• It's pretty decent. By "decent" I mean, it's nice and clear, had a pretty full sound, very little bass though, and isn't going to get really loud. For my 14ft x 14ft room, it's fine for now. I had and returned a TCL before this Sony, and sound is much better on the Sony.
